One year into his term, Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai has made a remarkable departure from the longstanding norm of “we’ve always done it this way.” In a county where decisions on public safety, economic development, and public health are paramount, Judge Sakai’s commitment to transparency and accountability brings a fresh perspective to the leadership style.

A recent article on internal conflicts within Commissioner’s Court showcases his willingness to address problems openly.
