Do Leaders Do ANY Research? Details Leading Up to the Joss Murder

We applaud the superlative detective skills of Congressman Joaquin “Columbo” Castro, who quickly determined the motive for the murder of actor Jonathan Joss. His innovative detective work boldly ignored official statements, witness interviews, body cam footage, and autopsy reports.
While the congressman was virtue-signaling for social media clicks, InfuseSA obtained records that document over 70 calls to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) made regarding Joss’ home between January 2023 and June 2025.
The calls included disturbances involving guns, knives, and crossbows, welfare checks, and at least one emergency detainment in 2024 that required ten SAPD units. One of the calls, in June 2024, was from Sigfredo Cesar Alvarez, the man who admitted to shooting Joss.
The SAPD report documents Joss walking outside his house with a crossbow and yelling racial slurs at Alvarez. Alvarez also had video of Joss driving slowly and stopping in front of his house.
Alvarez mentioned making multiple SAPD reports of Joss harassing him and his brother, who lives next-door, but that nothing had been done. He said every time officers would leave, Joss would come back outside and start name-calling and telling Alvarez that he is coming for him.
Alvarez also told SAPD that he was afraid to let his wife and kids leave the house by themselves because Joss was known to follow them around the neighborhood. They did arrest him that day for an active warrant for criminal mischief.
In July 2024, SAPD units arrived at Joss’ home to serve a Dangerous Risk Assessment Team (DART) administrative warrant. Records show that Joss created past disturbances with a gun and that SAPD had previously confiscated guns from him.
However, concerned neighbors then reported that Joss had obtained a crossbow and was “pointing it at people”.
When SAPD entered the home, they noted it being in poor condition. There were holes in the ceiling, roof shingles used as wallpaper, dog feces on the floor, and debris in every room. SAPD did find a crossbow with an arrow chambered propped up against a living room sofa.
In January 2025, Joss’ home was destroyed by fire. SAPD records document that it was scheduled to be demolished. They also noted that he “had been posting some crazy stuff on Facebook and online.”
Joss told SAPD that the home had no electricity or gas. He said he used a BBQ pit in the house to stay warm and that his dogs may have “knocked it over or something.”
Three dogs died in that fire.
On June 1, 2025, a neighbor captured video of Joss walking in the street carrying a pitch fork that had the skull of a small animal on a tine.
A lady told SAPD she had driven Joss and another individual to his home to pick up mail. While she waited in her car, she watched as Joss and Alvarez argued. She then witnessed Alvarez shoot Joss.
While Congressman Castro believes he can discern the motive for the murder based one Facebook post, the truth is that he intentionally ignored the paper trail leading to this murder. He threw SAPD officers under the for social media clout.
