It’s Not Much, But It’s Honest Work: Scooping and Cleansing the Mainstream Media
This week’s story in the San Antonio Express-News about Jeremy Jacob’s Evolve and Float (credit Infusiast Tiffany Witham for this one) marks the FOURTH time this year … AT LEAST … that we’ve either scooped them, or cleansed their pages of errors, inadequacies, or the like. That’s not to mention the same we’ve done to other local mainstream media outlets as well.
But none of them do the other things we do that HELP the community, like report comprehensively on what’s going on in SA/Bexar County (see our report on the “Crime on the Northside” townhall a few weeks ago). Or our workshops, like the recent one to help the deaf community with advanced directives/wills.
We also have activists listening in on the police blotter, examining government communications, assisting neighbors, working with chambers of commerce, etc. We can only do so much though.
We want to do more of this to provide a unbiased look at what’s going on, help people be independent, etc., but we need help. If you feel what we do is important, and want more of it, please visit our website and consider donating, or volunteering.
And urge family and friends to do so as well. Only then will this really take hold.
