Our Vision: “To Extinguish Party Politics …”

We recently received campaign literature from the Bexar County Democratic Party chair in which she bragged, perhaps understandably, about how several of their candidates have no republican challengers this year. When we received a letter from the Republican Party of Bexar County chair a few days later, we kinda saw why.

In it he informed members that no incumbents would take part in the primary debates the party sponsored last week, all having declined the invitation. Could it have been because they a) voted against (like democrats do) giving parents more choice in their children’s K-12 education, b) voted to raise taxes (like democrats do), etc.? Only they know.

These acts perpetuate the perception that there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the parties. They’ll each trot out the culture wars in some shallow effort to refute this impression. However, as important as those issues are, they also generate the red meat that the parties throw out to distract citizens from the government that too many of them are content to grow at taxpayers’ expense.

This is one big reason we exist, to cut through it all to maximize the freedom, and subsequent prosperity, of all Bexar County citizens. They deserve as much choice at the ballot box as possible to achieve this.
