This SA City Council vote reminds me so much of what went on in our country with Covid—the mandatory closing of so many small businesses because government deemed them “Non-Essential”. The lack of understanding and empathy for what makes our country, our city, go around is mind boggling.
So here we vote to take a man’s life work, his livelihood, away so the city can build a money making 4D theater—and the city council calls that, Eminent Domain. What a crock. Who are these 9 council members? Who voted for these clowns? And another thing, anyone who has followed the costs of property lately, knows that 3.5 million is chump change. I sure hope Mr. Cantù can fight this on up the legal ladder.
